“We are called to bring the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the nations with the Holy Spirit as our guide for the Glory of God the Father.”
Maverick and Amy have both loved Jesus and felt a strong call to be missionaries since a young age.
Amy, a North Carolina native, was transformed for missions after she took a trip to a children’s home (Challenge Farm) in Africa where she saw the needs and poverty that so many of us have never experienced as Americans. She was so moved that that she laid down a desired future in fashion design to pursue missions work, got a degree in Biblical studies from Liberty Bible college, and soon began working stateside for the missionary Cheri Thompson (Founder of Challenge Farm) who is also a Globe International missionary.
Maverick, a Florida native, was called to be a missionary at a summer missions camp when he was a young teenager. He eventually went on to receive a Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design from the University of West Florida and then the Lord led him to work at Globe International Missions agency in Pensacola, FL combining a love for art and the call to missions.
At one of Globe International’s mission conferences in Pensacola, through divine intervention, Maverick and Amy met, fell in love and were soon married! They now have two sweet boys Jonah & Hudson.
They served for one year in Asia and after having to leave there because of sensitivity and pressure from the government they are now serving at the Challenge Farm in Kitale, Kenya. They have a focus to serve in whatever way needed with heavy hearts for true one-on-one discipleship.
Their prayer is that all their adventures would glorify God!
Serving in Kenya
For the Glory of God
God's heart is for ALL nations to know him. Our family served for 1 year in China, and we are so blessed to be working with the Challenge Farm Children's home in Kitale, Kenya alongside missionary Cheri Thompson.
Challenge Farm was founded by Cheri Thompson and is a full-time home to orphaned, abandoned, or abused street children rescued off the streets. Currently there are over 100 children being discipled and rehabilitated and being shown the true Gospel of Jesus Christ! There is a full-time school on property, sustainable agriculture, a bee apiary, a posho-mill, and a Kenyan staff of around 70 people, it is certainly a "Village."
We are so excited to be a part of what God is doing in Kenya, and how he is using these children to reach their communities, the surrounding Kitale areas, and the world!
